A democratic society has the means to characterize itself and to make itself understandable by constructing representative structures; however we will never live in metropolitan areas having been established homogeneously and without contradiction to neither spirit of an epoch nor to a theory.

This suggests that a city is created in conceptual stages, providing the possibility to integrate already existing matters into a new system, that is to say to re-interpretate it to a certain extent.

Only utopy, never experience, can provide courage and inspiration to such a re-interpretation.
